Sr. Electrical Testing Technician - NETA III/NETA IV
- Multiple roles open / All roles are DIRECT HIRE/PERM/Employee roles.
- Roles are open due to additional work, Expansion, not a ton of turnover, open for good reasons.
- Primarily in the INDUSTRIAL /Construction Side, but also can use help on the COMMISSIONING side of the business.
Position Overview
- The Sr. Electrical Testing Technician is responsible for conducting high-level electrical testing and analysis to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
- This role requires advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods and standards, as well as the ability to lead projects and mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical testing and analysis on power systems and equipment.
- Lead and manage electrical testing projects from initiation to completion.
- Mentor and train junior technicians in electrical testing procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NETA standards and safety regulations during testing operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on testing results and recommend improvements based on findings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
Compensation Ranges For The Roles/levels
- Mid level is 45-60hr
- Senior level is 60-75/hr DOE. ($ 75/hr would be NETA IV 10+ years)
- Work will, on average, include about 10 hours of OT per week, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Travel/Location of work:
- Most of the travel is in local/car travel.
- Most of the work is in TX, locations served would typically be within 3 hours of Houston.
- Some located farther, West TX, etc, would be a hotel for the few days.
- When not on the road, we would like this person at the plant site in the Pearland/South Houston area plant location.
Experience
- Those with experience working in a bigger organization/company would be a best fit.
- Would like those with NETA III and/or NETA IV
- We need senior folks with at LEAST 5 or more years of experience in a similar role, and over 3 years, or more, experience in a HIGH VOLTAGE INDUSTRY support role/application.
- Experience/Knowledge of electrical code and standards, such as NEC, NESC, and applicable IEEE and ANSI.
- Strong communications skills, and customer interface/customer facing skillset.
- Extensive experience in electrical testing and analysis in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, machinery, and testing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
